Creative Writing- Short Story Idea

In creative Writing recently we were given the task of coming up with ideas for a short story. Now, I had a few ideas in mind like a haunting type of story, a hunting trip where the hunters become the hunted, and one involving SPACE! The one I decided to write about was the space idea. I typically write my stories about something involving the forest or something along the likes of that, so spicing things up with the idea of something involving space sounded good to me. Another key reason that I chose this idea was because it will give me a chance to sound as nerdy as I please.

The main idea of this story in space is that there will be an intergalactic battle between the Zathirian people of the planet Zorlock and the Gemerian people of the planet Illamo (my made up nerdy names). The story will be told in first person, from a Zatherian battle warrior’s point of view. I don’t want to say too much, mainly because I know you are all very excited about this. But, this story is mainly put in the setting on the planet Illamo. From the arrival of the Zathirians until there fate!

The story is meant to be about three to five pages long, but the fashion of writhing that I have, it will either be a problem for me to get it up to three pages, or I will not quite know how to end the story and it will end up being a ten paged, single spaced, awesome story. Either way it is going to be something in space. This is just an idea that I have right now, it is guaranteed subject to change, at least a little bit.
